I’ve said that before. Quite a lot actually.
I’ve tried blogging over the years and had a few small wins.
One of my posts got pretty popular on StumbleUpon once. That might date me.
Another post got a comment from some ranking person at Salesforce. That was on the first post after the obligatory “Hello World” post. I was excited.
I used to be a Technorati writer, though my submission count is 0. I never knew what to write about.
I’ve yearned for a place I can write my thoughts that has no ties to who I really am.
I can’t use Twitter because my name is on my profile.
I can’t use Facebook because my family uses it. Facebook also needs to go away, but that’s not the point.
Instagram is a personal highlight reel; no room for thoughts and opinions there. I realize some might not hold that view.
Here I can write, swear, and opine as I wish without having to worry (too much) about things getting back to my family, my employer, or anyone who might give a shit.
The moose thing. A bull in a China shop and I have a lot in common. I’m not a bull though; I’m built more like a moose. I won’t charge at your red table cloth, but I’ll total your car if you run into me. Makes sense, right?
